Each webhosting company and account has a unique set of problems
On one webhosting account, the webmaster was not able to add new posts for a wordpress blog.
It was giving the error
Publishing failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.
It appears that the server was hacked. After contacting support the problem was fixed.
